Who We Host

Corporate teams are among our most frequent group visitors. Whether it is a team-building half-day for a sales group or a full executive retreat experience, Cachasol provides the kind of genuine, off-script setting that resort conference rooms cannot replicate. We work with companies whose teams are based in or traveling through the Punta Mita and Riviera Nayarit corridor - and we design the day around what your group actually needs, from mixology to the distillery floor to a long lunch in the Comedor.

Resort guests arriving through concierge are equally at home here. We maintain relationships with activities and guest services teams at properties throughout Punta Mita and Riviera Nayarit, and we are set up to accommodate the logistics those arrangements require - flexible timing, private access, and an experience that reflects well on the property recommending us.

We also host milestone celebrations of all kinds: landmark birthdays, anniversary dinners, family reunions, and private events for film and content production teams. If your group has a specific purpose and a guest list, we can design an experience around it.

The Experience

Group experiences at Cachasol are available in half-day and full-day formats. During your booking, the estate is private to your group - no shared tours, no other guests at the bar, no compromise on the experience. The day is yours.

The experience menu is modular. A mixology workshop at the Cachashade Bar runs approximately one hour, with each guest crafting two cocktails using Cachasol spirits. A culinary workshop runs a similar length, working on the comal with our kitchen team. The distillery tour covers the agave fields, the production facility, and a guided tasting with fifth-generation Master Distiller Jaime Villalobos Sauza or a senior guide. Most groups combine two or three of these into a full afternoon.

Farm-to-table dining at the Comedor anchors longer visits. The kitchen builds seasonal menus from estate-grown produce and local sourcing. Cocktail hour at the Cachashade Bar extends the day naturally, with the estate and the agave fields as backdrop. A dedicated Cachasol host manages the flow from arrival to close.

The Setting

Cachasol sits on six acres at Km 5, Carretera Punta Mita, Playa Patzcuaro s/n, Sayulita, Nayarit - 15 minutes from Sayulita, 20 minutes from the Punta Mita resort corridor, and approximately 60 minutes from Puerto Vallarta International Airport. It is a working agave farm, not a replica or a theme. More than 3,000 agave plants at various stages of cultivation cover the property, alongside the distillery, the open-air Comedor, and the Cachashade Bar.

The tequila produced here carries NOM 1522, Hacienda de Oro - the registered distillery number under which Jaime Villalobos Sauza and the Cachasol team operate. That credential matters to guests who care about provenance, and it is something that can only be said by a small number of producers in Mexico. Group visitors often find that the combination of landscape, craft, and hospitality is difficult to find elsewhere on the Riviera Nayarit.

Recognition

Cachasol was featured in Forbes in March 2026 as one of Mexico's standout agave destinations. Men's Journal named the distillery a Triple Award Winner for 2026 - Best Small-Batch Tequila, Best Everyday Tequila, and Best Savory Tequila - a recognition that reflects the quality of what Jaime Villalobos Sauza produces rather than the scale of the operation. Bravo's Southern Charm Season 11 filmed at the estate, drawn by the same combination of authenticity and setting that brings corporate groups back year after year.

With 160+ five-star reviews from guests across Google and TripAdvisor, the reputation holds across individual visitors and private groups alike. Jaime Villalobos Sauza is a fifth-generation descendant of the Sauza lineage - one of the founding families of Mexican tequila production - and that continuity is present in every bottle and every conversation on the estate. For groups whose principals care about provenance, that story adds real value to the day.
